Batangueño ARBs receive land titles from DAR

Editha Dastas, 66 years old From Brgy. Patugo, Balayan, Batangas proudly raised her land title to signify that she is now a landowner.

Ninety-nine (99) agrarian-reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Batangas received electronic land titles (e-titles) and certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs) from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).

Editha Dastas, 66 years old from Brgy. Patugo, Balayan, Batangas expressed her happiness and gratitude to the DAR as she promised to fulfill her duties as a beneficiary.

“Thank you to the DAR, and to our dear secretary for this opportunity of receiving our CLOA, which we have waited for so long,” she said.

Atty. Kazel Celeste, DAR Undersecretary for Field Operations Office (FOO), together with Cupido Gerry Asuncion, CALABARZON Regional Director and Lipa City Mayor Eric B. Africa, led the distribution of land titles comprising a total of 98.7453 hectares..

Twenty-two (22) ARBs received CLOAs distributed under the newly acquired lands comprising a total of 17.909 hectares of lands located in the municipalities of Lobo, Balete, Rosario, San Juan, Lipa City, and Tanauan City.

On the other hand, seventy-seven (77) ARBs received e-titles under the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project with a total of 80.8358 hectares located in the municipalities of Calatagan, Lian, Tuy, Balayan, Lobo, Ibaan, Padre Garcia, Rosario, and San Juan.

The ARBs in Batangas display the land titles they received together with DAR officials.

“Always remember that the department is behind you and will always support your progress with the help of our dear secretary Conrado Estrella III,” Celeste said.

Aside from e-titles and CLOA distribution, the DAR also turned over various projects which include a coco-by products processing facility to the SAPAGLAYA Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MPC) under the Village Level Farm Focused Enterprise Development (VLFED) Project, and a multi-cab was provided to the Dayapan MPC under the Enhanced Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty (EPAHP).

The DAR, in cooperation with AgriNurture, Inc. (ANI) also launched a digital marketing program to boost the ARBs and ARB organizations' products. The DAR also sought the help of the National Irrigation Administration and the Department of Agriculture to implement a Sustainable Integrated Bio-Intensive Farming System under the Solar-Powered Irrigation System (SPIS) projects.
