DAR NV provides potable water supply to its ARBs

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya - To ensure that potable and sanitary water is supplied to the agrarian reform beneficiaries in the far flung areas of the province, the Department of Agrarian Reform led by OIC-Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Rustico R. Turingan turned-over a Community Potable Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (CPWASH) project worth P80,000.00 to the Officers and member of Tiblak Farmers Agriculture Cooperative (TFAC), a DAR assisted ARBO on December 5, 2022 at Brgy. Tiblak, Ambaguio, Nueva Vizcaya.

OIC-PARPO II Turingan, said this initiative forms part of the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support (CRFPS) program of the Department that will improve the living conditions of the farmers through product development.

“This project would enable the ARBO to venture into the development of other products not only in coffee processing but for other possible enterprises in the future for the benefit of the members of the organization” Turingan added.

Meanwhile, Municipal Mayor Ronelio Danao enthused that  this low-cost technology project-CPWASH would bring inspiration and enthusiasm among the residents in the community.

The ARBO received a package of selected water sanitation facilities which consists of Iron Removal Filter and Rain-Water Collector. The facilities is in support to the ARBO for the processing activities of their products. Also, to support the LGU in the provision of Basic Social Services (BSS) in the area.

The DAR officials also expressed their gratitude to the ARBO for being a partner in rural development. In response, the ARBO and LGU Officials commended the DAR for providing and building the technologies that would help them run their processing business or organization. The provision of this project would considerably contribute in improving the income of the ARBO and improve the condition of the community.

The undertaking was also attended by OIC-MARPO Fernando R. Hermosura, CARPO-PBD Edwin C Algeria, Punong Barangay Jeofrey Habungan Sr., Executive Manager of TFAC Mario P. Tayaban, BOD Cahirperson Espino Kimayong, other  TFAC officers and members and selected PBD personnel.
