Bloodletting: A DAR-EV’s pre valentine event

DAR, in partnership with the Philippine National Red Cross, collected 30 bags of blood during the bloodletting.

A pre-valentine event dubbed as “Dugo ko, alay ko sa’yo!” was conducted in January this year by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Eastern Visayas to help save lives.

Thirty bags of blood were collected through a blood-letting activity held at the DAR Regional Office, in partnership with the Philippine National Red Cross (PNRC).

Aside from DAR employees, other blood donors include Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel and some walk-in clients.

This project was done thru the Gender and Development (GAD) program of DAR Regional Office 8, spearheaded by its point person, Carlo Casillar.
