DARPO NV, DENR conduct joint meeting to strengthen collaboration in CARP implementation

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Office and the  Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) conducted a joint meeting on April 17, 2023 at the DENR-CENRO Aritao, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya to discuss the effective and efficient implementation of Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program in the province.

The DENR, as a key partner agency, led by Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Officer Giovannie Magat, presented DAR with their land classification maps for appreciation and as a basis for their discussion on the methods and processes in evaluating survey returns submitted to their office.

OIC-PARPO II Neil P. Lumauan in response also presented Presidential Proclamations and other issuances as the legal bases of DAR to implement the agrarian reform program.

He likewise highlighted the need for a collaborative effort of both agencies in the implementation of Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project. The SPLIT Project is a special project funded by the World Bank to expedite the issuance of individual titles to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries previously awarded by Collective Certificate of Land Ownership Award titles.

In addition, OIC-PARPO II Lumauan took the opportunity to reiterate the directive of DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III to bring the government closer to the people by forging productive and strong partnerships with all CARP implementing agencies. Both agencies agreed to continue their regular meetings to serve as a venue to synchronize policy and operational matters within the province.

The event was also attended by DAR OIC-CARPO for LTS Cesar V. Bautista, OIC-MARPO John Daryl Yacapin, ARPO II Eduardo R. Bajo, and other DENR technical and legal officers.
