DARR02 Legal Services Division conducts Assessment, Cascading and Strategic Planning

TUGUEGARAO CITY - The Department of Agrarian Reform Region 02 (DARR02) Legal Services Division conducted its 1st Quarter Assessment for CY 2023 cum Strategic Planning and Conference and Cascading of latest DAR’s Administrative Orders and Memorandum Circulars on April 18-20, 2023 at The Orchard Hotel, Baguio City.

 

Officer-in-Charge Assistant Regional Director for Operations Raul C. Laluan warmly welcomed the different participants from DAR Region 02.

 

According to Atty. Glenn A. Follante, Chief of Legal Services Division, the Legal is responsible for providing legal advice and support to ensure that the department's policies and programs are implemented in accordance with the law.

 

“To ensure that the Legal sector is effectively carrying out its mandate, it is important to periodically assess its performance and develop strategies to address challenges and opportunities.  Also, this provides an opportunity to review the progress of ongoing legal initiatives and identify areas for improvement”, he added.

 

The activity involved review of key legal performance indicators and targets, analyzing data and feedback from stakeholders, and identifying issues and challenges faced by the office.

 

The activity was conducted inorder to develop strategies and action plans to address the identified issues and challenges and capitalize on opportunities. This may include improving the efficiency and effectiveness of legal support provided, enhancing stakeholder engagement and participation, and exploring new legal partnerships and collaborations.

 

The latest latest AOs and MCs were cascaded  to ensure that the participants are aware of and fully understand the latest legal policies and guidelines that affect its operations. These AOs and MCs provide the legal framework and guidance for implementing programs and initiatives, and staying up-to-date on these policies is necessary to ensure compliance.

 

Board Member/Regional Agrarian Reform Adjudicator Annabelle O. Madayag-Oandasan as the Resource Person discussed the guidelines, procedures and provisions of DAR AO 7, series of 2022.

 

The three-day activity  was graced by CAR Regional Director Samuel S. Solomero, OIC-ARDO Raul C. Laluan, PARPO II Neil P. Lumauan, and all Legal Services Division staff from DAR Cagayan Valley Region.
