DAR CamNorte initiates DARAVAN project, provides services to agrarian reform beneficiaries

Agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) a comprehensive discussion during the DARamayan sa Pamayanan or DAMAYAN at Municipal Hall Covered Court of Sta. Elena, Camarines Norte.

A total of 184 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in remote areas of Sta. Elena, Camarines Norte, were provided with additional knowledge by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) through a DARamayan sa Pamayanan or DARAVAN to further develop and protect the lands provided to them by the government through Certificates of Land Ownership and Award (CLOAs).

DAR Camarines Norte OIC-Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer and Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer (CARPO) Alicia A. Almacin said the DAR is committed to improving the quality of lives of ARBs and rural communities in the area by ensuring the delivery of necessary support services and resources right at their doorsteps.

“Aligned with the DAR's vision "Sariling Lupa para sa Bagong Bukas na Masagana,” we are committed to empowering the ARBs with practical strategies and tools to enable them to further develop their livelihoods and achieve sustainable success,” Almacin said.

Almacin disclosed that the DARAVAN featured comprehensive discussions on how farmers can protect their earnings, including the importance of securing insurance for their crops, plants, and farm animals as explained by Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) representative Alvin Soleybar.

Representatives from the Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAG) Lovely Jane A. Mabanglo, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Jeorshwin Jo, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Lovely Jane A. Mabanglo, and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Tobias Obrero also discussed the Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) or Kabuhayan Program, DOLE TUPAD, DOLE AICS (Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation), Livelihood and Agri-business Seminars and Skills Training, and Support Programs for Small, Micro, and Medium Enterprise.

Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) representative Mark Anthony Castaneda discussed the importance of registering in the National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS) and the Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) Programs for available technical/vocational training.

DAR CamNorte nagsagawa ng proyektong DARAVAN, nagkaloob ng serbisyo sa mga agrarian reform beneficiaries

May kabuuang 184 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) sa mga liblib na lugar ng Sta. Elena, Camarines Norte, ang binigyan ng karagdagang kaalaman ng Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) sa pamamagitan ng isang DARamayan sa Pamayanan o DARAVAN upang higit na mapaunlad at maprotektahan ang mga lupaing ipinagkaloob sa kanila ng pamahalaan sa pamamagitan ng Certificates of Land Ownership and Award (CLOAs).

Sinabi ni DAR Camarines Norte OIC-Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer at Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer (CARPO) Alicia A. Almacin na ang DAR ay nakatuon sa pagpapabuti ng kalidad ng buhay ng mga ARB at rural na komunidad sa lugar, sa pamamagitan ng pagtiyak sa paghahatid ng mga kinakailangang suportang serbisyo direkta sa kanilang mga tahanan.

“Nakaayon sa pananaw ng DAR na "Sariling Lupa para sa Bagong Bukas na Masagana," nakatuon kami na mabigyang kapangyarihan ang mga ARB ng mga praktikal na istratehiya at kasangkapan upang mas mapaunlad ang kanilang mga kabuhayan at makamit ang napapanatiling tagumpay," ani Almacin.

Ibinunyag ni Almacin na ang DARAVAN ay nagtampok ng mga komprehensibong talakayan kung paano mapoprotektahan ng mga magsasaka ang kanilang mga kinikita, kabilang ang kahalagahan ng pagkakaroon ng insurance para sa kanilang mga pananim, halaman, at hayop sa bukid gaya ng ipinaliwanag ng kinatawan ng Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) na si Alvin Soleybar.

Tinalakay din ng mga kinatawan mula sa Office of the Provincial Agriculturist (OPAG) Lovely Jane A. Mabanglo, Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Jeorshwin Jo, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Lovely Jane A. Mabanglo, at Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Tobias Obrero ang Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) o Kabuhayan Program, Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD), Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS), Livelihood and Agri-business Seminars and Skills Training, at Support Programs for Small, Micro, and Medium Enterprise.

Samantalang tinalakay naman ng kinatawan ng Philippine Coconut Authority (PCA) na si Mark Anthony Castaneda ang kahalagahan ng pagpaparehistro sa National Coconut Farmers Registry System (NCFRS) at ang Coconut Farmers and Industry Development Plan (CFIDP) Programs para sa mga teknikal at bokasyonal na pagsasanay.
