DAR Region VI Holds Workshop on e-NGAS/e-Budget and 2024 Financial Assessment

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Region VI is conducting a three-day workshop titled “Update on e-NGAS/e-Budget and Assessment for CY 2024,” from September 16-18, 2024, in Malay, Aklan. Spearheaded by the Regional Support to Operations Division (STOD), the event is designed to align financial records, streamline resources, and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.

Dennis G. Ramos, Director IV for Finance and Management Service (FMS), highlight the critical need for synchronized financial reports, emphasizing that timely submission to DAR Central Office, the Commission on Audit (COA), and the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) is essential to avoid sanctions. He added that accurate financial reports play a key role in sustaining the agency’s operations and its support for agrarian reform beneficiaries.

DAR Region VI Assistant Regional Director for STO and Legal Lourdes F. Novilla is leading the workshop, with Arden D. Bandal, OIC-Director III for Management Information Systems Service (MISS), also in attendance. The Regional and Provincial Finance Groups are actively engaging in discussions aimed at reconciling financial data, analyzing fund utilization, and addressing any concerns related to the implementation of programs and project activities. The assessment shows DAR’s continued commitment to transparent governance and efficient financial management.
