DAR Embarks on Quality Improvement through ISO 9001:2015 QMS
The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)-Nueva Vizcaya took a significant step towards the improvement of its quality management by undertaking an initiative to achieve International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 9001:2015 certification. This program, held at Highlander Resort, Solano, Nueva Vizcaya from June 3-6, 2024 was participated by process owners, internal auditors, and managers. Cristina V. Lazaro and Jason Patrick M. Reaño served as the consultants for the province’s ISO journey.
Through this activity, officials and employees gained valuable skills in effectively documenting processes, identifying risks and opportunities, and developing strategic plans by analyzing the Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT) of the organization.
The initiative also focused on ensuring that the organization adheres to the rigorous standards set forth by ISO 9001:2015, the international benchmark for quality management systems (QMS).
Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Neil P. Lumauan emphasized that the department will always be committed to providing Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) and stakeholders with the services they deserve.
"By achieving ISO certification, we ensure they receive a just and high-quality service from our department." PARPO II Lumauan added.
This initiative highlighted DARPO-Nueva Vizcaya's dedication to public service excellence through their pursuit of ISO 9001:2015 certification.
