President Quirino, Sultan Kudarat – A total of 403 households and 229 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) will be able to improve their livelihood situation with the recent ceremonial groundbreaking conducted by the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) for the concreting of the PhP 29,471,802 farm-to-market road in Tual-Sinakulay to provide farmers faster access to markets and other government services.

The DAR, in collaboration with the Provincial and Municipal Local Government Units, targets to complete the FMR construction on February 3, 2025.

Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Abdullah N. Balindong said the farm-to-market road covers the Barangays Tual and Sinakulay roads. The FMR intends to bring considerable benefits to farmers in terms of shorter travel time, access to farm areas, reduction in transportation and hauling costs, and access to markets and other social services.

“This road project involves the concreting of a 1,500-meter road, transforming it from gravel to concrete, with a width of 3.05 meters per lane and a thickness of 0.23 meters. Additionally, Reinforced Concrete Pipe Culvert installations will be part of the construction,” Balindong said.

Joaquin Eslao, one of the ARBs, expressed his gratitude to the DAR for its continued support to small farmers like him.

“This road will benefit us, especially in transporting our produce to the market with ease. It will not only help us save time and effort but will also help us increase our income,” he said.

Mga magsasaka ng Sultan Kudarat mapapabuti ang kabuhayan sa pamamagitan ng P29.5-M road project

President Quirino, Sultan Kudarat – May kabuuang 403 kabahayan at 229 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) ang mapapabuti ang kanilang kabuhayan sa katatapos na ceremonial groundbreaking na isinagawa ng Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) para sa pagkonkreto ng PhP 29,471,802 farm-to-market road sa Tual-Sinakulay upang magkaroon ang mga magsasaka ng mas mabilis na daan patungong pamilihan at sa iba pang serbisyo ng pamahalaan.

Target ng DAR, sa pakikipagtulungan ng Provincial at Municipal Local Government Units na matapos ang konstruksyon ng FMR sa Pebrero 3, 2025.

Sinabi ni Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Abdullah N. Balindong na sakop ng farm-to-market road ang mga Barangay Tual at Sinakulay roads. Nilalayon ng FMR na magdala ng malaking benepisyo sa mga magsasaka sa mga tuntunin ng mas maikling oras ng paglalakbay, pag-access sa mga lugar ng sakahan, pagbawas sa mga gastos sa transportasyon at paghakot, at pag-access sa mga pamilihan at iba pang serbisyong panlipunan.

“Ang proyektong kalsada na ito ay kinabibilangan ng pagkonkreto ng isang 1,500 metrong kalsada, na may pagbabago mula sa graba tungo sa pagigigng kongkreto, na may lapad na 3.05 metro bawat lane at may kapal na 0.23 metro. Bukod pa rito, magiging bahagi ng konstruksyon ang Reinforced Concrete Pipe Culvert installations,” aniya.

Nagpasalamat si Joaquin Eslao, isa sa mga ARB, sa DAR dahil sa patuloy na suporta nito sa mga maliliit na magsasakang tulad niya.

“Malaki ang pakinabang namin dito,lalo na sa pagbibyahe ng aming mga produkto patungo sa merkado. Hindi lang kami makatitipid sa oras at pagod, mapatataas din nito ang aming mga kikitain,” aniya.
