DAR distributes land titles to 310 farmers in Camarines Sur

Naga City – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) recently distributed 390 certificates of land ownership award covering 648.28 hectares to 310 farmer-beneficiaries of Camarines Sur 1.

Together with the top officials of DAR Camarines Sur 1, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Romulo A. Britanico led the distribution of land titles, in contemporaneous with the celebration of the 30th Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program (CARP) anniversary, held in DAR Provincial Office.

Britanico said the distributed agricultural lands is part of the 1,421 hectares of agricultural land across the province that were targeted to be distributed this year.

“We are happy to have served you and become instrumental in the uplifting of the quality of your lives as agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs). For this, we worked hard and strenuously put our energy to give you the title of your land. One thing we just asked from you - that you be a good steward of the land awarded to you that our labor in striving to enrich your lives will not be in vain,” Britanico said.

After the distribution of land, an orientation, initiated by Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development and Sustainability Program (ARB-DSP) personnel, was also given to the ARBs.

The orientation discussed the benefits, entitlement and rights, roles and responsibilities of an ARB.

Besides receiving land titles, the farmer-beneficiaries can also expect support from the DAR through its support service component to boost their production and income. (May B. Peña)
