Farm productivity support program to be extended to Davao Oriental farmer-beneficiaries

The Department of Agrarian Reform Provincial Office of Davao Oriental recently entered into a contract with the suppliers of farm machineries and equipment under its Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Program (CRFPSP) in Mati, Davao Oriental amidst the continuing onslaught of the COVID-19 virus pandemic and climate changes.

This program aims to provide agricultural extension services and livelihood support to ARBs to pave the way for them to have additional incomes and for them to develop resiliency amidst the threats of climate change. The program also aspires to make farmer beneficiaries more adept in facing the adversities brought about by climate change.

A total of Two Million Pesos (Php2,000,000.00) worth of capacity development trainings, farm inputs, farm machineries and equipment are slated to be given to seven Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organizations (ARBOs) under the CRFPSP’s Major Crop-Based Farm Productivity Enhancement & Sustainable Livelihood Support to Disaster Affected Areas Projects and aims to boost farm productivity under the present climate change situation and sustaining livelihoods amidst the current COVID-19 pandemic.
