Sorsogon City – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in the province of Sorsogon celebrated its recent milestone with a virtual awarding ceremony which granted the DAR Sorgoson with an ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System (QMS) Certification by the Worldwide Quality Assurance (WQA), the Philippines and Indonesia, held in Villa Isabel Hotel and Resort in this province.

DAR Bicol Regional Director Rodrigo Realubit said the officials and employees of the agency commemorated the accolade since Sorsogon was the first provincial office in DAR Region 5 to pass the 2015 version of the ISO 9001 QMS on its first try.

“The QMS will help the entire organization in the delivery of quality services. To attain quality, the province established interactive systems and processes, that are customer-focused, conform to the ISO Standards, and compliant to all statutory, mandatory, and regulatory laws,” Realubit said.

Realubit challenged the employees to continue providing the highest level of service deserving of international recognition.

Secretary Bernie F. Cruz, in his virtual message, commended the DAR Sorsogon employees for addressing the demands of improving work procedures and systems, which earned them the award.

“You must continue to work together since our mission and responsibilities under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program remain to be challenging. As a team, we have a responsibility to deliver our commitments and the agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) need to be involved. We have to make a difference," Cruz said.

Meanwhile, Sorsogon Governor Francis Joseph Escudero, via his representative Board Member Ed Atutubo, extended his warmest congratulations to the DAR Sorsogon for achieving the milestone during his tenure.

"This is another milestone for the office as we provide the highest quality services to our clients. This certification means that DAR’s services to the ARBs were enhanced and improved. By adhering to our QMS, we will continually strive to provide the finest service we can do to our clients," Sorsogon agrarian reform chief Nida A. Santiago said.

The Certificate of Registration certifies that the DAR provincial office of Sorsogon maintains a system that meets ISO 9001:2015 requirements. It covers services linked to Land Tenure Security Program (LTSP), the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development and Sustainability Program (ARBDSP), Agrarian Justice Delivery (AJD), and the Support to Operations Division (STOD).

The province will undergo re-certification in the year 2024.

Ayon kay DAR Bicol Regional Director Rodrigo Realubit ipinagdiwang ng mga opisyal at empleyado ng ahensya ang karangalan dahil ang Sorsogon ang kauna-unahang tanggapang panlalawigan sa DAR Region 5 na pumasa sa 2015 version ng ISO 9001 QMS sa kanilang unang pagsubok.

"Ang QMS ay makatutulong sa buong organisasyon sa paghahatid ng mga kalidad na serbisyo. Upang makamit ang kalidad, nagtatag ng mga sistema at mga proseso ang lalawigan, na binubuo ng QMS na nakatuon sa mga kliyente, idinisenyo upang sumunod sa mga pamantayan sa ISO at sumusunod sa lahat ng naayon sa batas, mandato at regulasyong ipinag-uutos,” ani Realubit.

Hinamon ni Realubit ang mga empleyado na ipagpatuloy ang pagbibigay ng pinakamataas na antas ng serbisyo na karapat-dapat sa internasyonal na pagkilala.

Pinuri ni Kalihim Bernie F. Cruz sa kanyang birtuwal na mensahe ang mga empleyado ng DAR Sorsogon sa nakuhang parangal sa pagtugon sa mga hamon ng pagpapabuti ng mga pamamaraan at sistema ng trabaho.

“Dapat kayong patuloy na magtulungan dahil sa mahirap ang misyon at mga responsibilidad ng ating Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program. Bilang isang grupo, mayroon tayong responsibilidad na isagawa ang ating mga pangako katuwang ang ating mga agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs). Kailangan nating gumawa ng pagbabago," sabi ni Cruz.

Samantala, mainit na pagbati ang ipinaabot ni Sorsogon Governor Francis Joseph Escudero sa DAR Sorsogon, sa pamamagitan ng kanyang kinatawan na Board Member Ed Atutubo sa pagkamit ng parangal na naipagkaloob sa panahon ng kanyang panunungkulan.

"Ito ay isang karangalan para sa opisina dahil nakapagbibigay kami ng pinakamataas na kalidad ng serbisyo sa aming mga kliyente. Ang sertipikasyong ito ay nangangahulugan na ang aming serbisyo ay mahusay at mabuti. Sa pamamagitan ng pagsunod sa aming QMS ay patuloy naming pagsusumikapan na magkaloob ng pinakamahusay na serbisyo para sa aming mga kliyente," ani Sorsogon agrarian reform chief Nida A. Santiago.

Ang Sertipiko ng Pagpaparehistro ay nagpapatunay na ang DAR Provincial Office ng Sorsogon ay nagpapanatili ng isang sistema na nakakatugon sa mga kailangan sa ISO 9001:2015. Saklaw nito ang mga serbisyong nauugnay sa Land Tenure Security Program (LTSP), ang Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Development and Sustainability Program (ARBDSP), Agrarian Justice Delivery (AJD), at ang Support to Operations Division (STOD).

Ang lalawigan ay sasailalim muli sa pagkuha ng sertipikasyon sa taong 2024.
