SoCot farmers groom as agri-entrepreneurs

Launching the Farm Business School in Polomolok, South Cotabato to provide education to ARBs on how to improve farm production, and marketing strategy.

Agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Polomolok, South Cotabato are groomed to become agri-entrepreneurs as the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) launched 14th Farm Business School (FBS) in this town.

The FBS, which provides education to ARBs on how to improve farm production, and marketing strategy, is in consonance with the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., to DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III, to improve the livelihood of the farmers.

Dolefil Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Cooperative (DARBC) Vice-Chairman Maria Antonia Banting conveyed the cooperative’s commitment and promised full participation in the course of the program.

Launching the Farm Business School in Polomolok, South Cotabato to provide education to ARBs on how to improve farm production, and marketing strategy.

“Through this program, our farmers will certainly improve their farm production and profitability,” she said.

The FBS would equip the ARBs with knowledge in sustainable farming, and provide them with interventions to innovate, develop, and make their products more enticing to the market to make them become effective farmer-entrepreneurs.

Charish Paña, DAR-South Cotabato Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II, said the program implementation would run for 16 weeks with 25 hands-on sessions.

“The ARBs attending the FBS are lucky because the learning center is just around their doorsteps. They no longer need to go to school and learn the valuable lessons that they will experience in the program,” she said.

FBS is implemented in partnership with DARBC, Department of Agriculture, Department of Trade and Industry, and other Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program or CARP-implementing agencies.

Mga magsasaka ng Socot inihahandang maging agri-entrepreneur

Inihahanda ang mga agrarian reform beneficiary (ARB) sa Polomolok, South Cotabato na maging agri-entrepreneur sa inilunsad ng Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) na ika-14 na Farm Business School (FBS) sa nasabing bayan.

Ang FBS, na nagbibigay edukasyon sa mga ARB na mapagbuti ang kanilang farm production, at marketing strategy, ay alinsunod sa direktiba ni Pangulong Ferdinand Marcos Jr. kay DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III, na mapaunlad ang kabuhayan ng mga magsasaka.

Ipinahayag ni Dolefil Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Cooperative (DARBC) Vice-Chairman Maria Antonia Banting ang commitment ng kooperatiba at nangako ng partisipasyon sa kurso ng programa.

“Sa programang ito,mapapaunlad ng ating mga magsasaka ang kanilang produksyon at kakayahang kumite sa sakahan,” aniya.

Mabibigyan ng FBS ang mga ARBs ng kaalaman sa sustainable farming, at tuturuan sila sa mga pagbabago, pag-unlad, at gawing kaaya-aya ang kanilang produkto sa merkado upang sila ay maging epektibong magsasakang-negosyante.

Ayon kay Charish Paña, DAR-South Cotabato Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II, ang pagpapatupad ng programa ay tatakbo sa loob ng 16 linggo at may 25 hands-on session.

“Ang mga ARB na dadalo sa FBS ay napakaswerte sapagkat halos nasa pintuan na lamang nila ang learning center. Hindi na nila kailangang pumunta sa paaralan upang matutuhan ang mga napakahalagang leksyon na madadanasan nila sa programa,” aniya.

Ang FBS ay ipinatupad sa pakikipag-ugnayan sa DARBC, Department of Agriculture, Department of Trade and Industry, at iba pang Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program o CARP-implementing agencies.
