DAR employees undergo strategic planning-workshop
The key officials and personnel of the Office of the Undersecretary for Special Concerns (SCO-EACO) and External Affairs and Communications Operations are slated to undergo a strategic planning seminar-workshop from March 23 - 24 at the University Hotel in UP Diliman.
Dubbed as “Crafting a Blueprint for Public Value Creation,” the activity will also include participants from the three sectors of SCO-EACO, which is headed by Undersecretary Atty. Marilyn B. Barua-Yap. These sectors are the Public Assistance and Media Relations Service (PAMRS), the Clientele Relations Service (CRS), and the Legislative Liaison and External Affairs Service. Key officials and select personnel from the Foreign-Assisted and Special Projects Office (FASPO) and the Office for Mindanao Affairs (OMA) will also be in attendance.
The seminar-workshop will be conducted by Dr. Edgardo Pangilinan, the Deputy Secretary-General of the House of Representatives, who is a specialist in strategic management and is an active lecturer at the University of the Philippines (UP) and the Development Academy of the Philippines (DAP).
Undersecretary Yap said that the seminar-workshop is part of DAR’s capacity-building thrust under the leadership of Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III, whose priority is to bring government to the people.
The strategic planning workshop will teach the participants the basics of strategic analysis, practical tools, and techniques towards the development and implementation of the sector’s strategic roadmap in the next five years.
