Tibiao, Antique – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Brgy. Importante Centro Amar Communal Irrigators Association, Inc. (BICACIA), providing P1.5 million worth of Farm Machineries and Equipment (FMEs) under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project (CRFPSP).

The FMEs aim to boost rice production, enhance farm efficiency and promote sustainable agriculture for BICACIA’s 248 Agrarian Reform Beneficiary (ARB) members. The support package includes vital equipment and training designed to improve both productivity and resilience to climate change.

Among the assistance provided are: one (1) solar dryer, one (1) stationary rice mill with shed, two (2) deep well systems, two (2) agricultural water pumps, 10 knapsack sprayers and training on farming technologies and capability development.

BICACIA, based in Brgy. Amar, Tibiao, manages a service area of 56.8 hectares, cultivating rice as their main crop, with high-value vegetables as secondary produce.

With the new FMEs and technical support, members are expected to increase their yields and income while adopting more sustainable and climate-resilient farming practices.

“This initiative is part of our continuing commitment to empower ARBs and strengthen rural communities through climate-smart farming support,” said DAR Antique Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Geralyn E. Cañas.

Present during the MOA signing were key DAR officials, including Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer Mary June B. Andres, Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer Lucy Lin N. Gomez, DF Lilibeth Beliran, and CRFPSP Section Head Engr. Charma Rose M. Cayetano. DAR Antique lumagda ng MOA kasama ang BICACI Para sa P1.5M FMEs

Tibiao, Antique – Lumagda ang Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) ng Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) kasama ang Brgy. Importante Centro Amar Communal Irrigators Association, Inc. (BICACIA) para sa P1.5 milyong halaga ng Farm Machineries and Equipment (FMEs) sa ilalim ng Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Project (CRFPSP).

Layunin ng FMEs na mapataas ang ani ng palay, mapabuti ang pagsasaka, at matulungan ang mga magsasaka na maging handa sa epekto ng pagbabago ng klima. Makikinabang dito ang 248 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) na miyembro ng BICACIA mula sa Brgy. Amar, Tibiao.

Kabilang sa ibinigay na tulong ang isang (1) solar dryer, isang (1) stationary rice mill na may shed, dalawang (2) deep well systems, dalawang (2) agricultural water pumps, 10 knapsack sprayers at mga pagsasanay sa makabagong teknolohiya at pagpapalakas ng kakayahan.

Ang BICACIA ay nangangasiwa ng 56.8 ektaryang sakahan, kung saan palay ang pangunahing pananim at gulay bilang dagdag na ani. Sa tulong ng bagong FMEs at pagsasanay, inaasahang tataas ang ani ng grupo at ang kita ng bawat miyembro habang pinapalaganap ang mas ligtas at mas matibay na pamamaraan ng pagsasaka.

“Bahagi ito ng patuloy na layunin ng DAR na palakasin ang kabuhayan ng ARBs at bigyan sila ng suporta laban sa epekto ng pagbabago ng klima,” ayon kay DAR Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Geralyn E. Cañas.
