Senator Imee Marcos took part as Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) witness to the distribution of 2,501 Certificate of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (COCROM) to 2,207 ARBs from Davao City, Davao del Sur and Davao Occidental relieving them of a collective debt amounting to P150.409 million covering 2,883.8478 hectares. 

The event happened on Wednesday, 11 December, at Digos City Gym, Davao del Sur.

Three agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) breathed a sigh of relief as the (DAR) condoned more than P1 million each of their loans.

Rodolfo B. Torrejos of Barangay Sirawan, Tori District, Davao City is freed from his P1.827-million loan due to his unpaid amortizations from the land previously provided by the government. 

Edgardo A. Romaguera of Barangay Ibo, Malalag, Davao del Sur is also free from his P1.529-million loan, while Rico M. Masaglang of Barangay Malalag Tubig, Santa Maria, Davao Occidental was freed from his P1.588-million loan.

Moises Lidres, 63, one of the COCROM recipients from Kidlawan, Davao del Sur, received his Title No. 2017000276, covering 8,814.00 square meters condoning his debt amounting to P112,509.45.

Marcos expressed her gratitude that the COCROMs were finally released to the ARBs.
