📅

PRESIDENT Ferdinand Marcos Jr. on Thursday, Nov. 21, led the distribution of 2,939 certificates of condonation with release of mortgage (Cocroms) and awarded 30 certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs) to over 2,000 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) in Pampanga.

The move, he said, would help ease the farmers’ plight following the series of typhoons in the country.

In receiving the Cocroms, the ARBs are freed from debt totaling P206.38 million, he added.

As of Nov. 17, the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has distributed a total of 41,675 Cocroms. Additionally, from July 2022 to November 2024, the DAR has distributed 160,516 CLOAs.

The president likewise recognized the province’s contribution to the nation’s overall development through its major industries — agriculture, specialty food, and food processing.

Pampanga is Central Luzon’s major egg supplier, and accounts for 17.7 percent of the country’s overall egg production.
