Covering a total of 73 hectares, the e-Titles were awarded to ARBs from La Paz, Pilar, San Juan, Tayum, Bangued, Manabo, and Bucay. This marks the first formal distribution of Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) under Project SPLIT in the province.

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) distributed electronic land titles (e-Titles), covering 73 hectares of land to 54 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) from seven (7) municipalities in Abra under the Project SPLIT or Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling.

DAR-Cordillera Regional Director Samuel S. Solomero, who led the ceremony, highlighted the importance of the e-Titles in giving ARBs a clear understanding of their land boundaries and legal ownership.

“With your e-Titles in hand, you now have secure ownership and the opportunity to maximize your land’s potential,” he said.

Solomero also announced plans to help ARBs form cooperatives to further increase productivity and develop sustainable income sources.

The e-Titles not only confirm land ownership but also open doors to support services such as training, livelihood assistance, and access to resources, helping ARBs make their lands more productive and profitable.

OIC-Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) II Mercedes S. Borongan thanked the beneficiaries for their active participation, stressing that their cooperation was key to the project’s success.

“DAR remains committed to supporting you through capacity-building programs and livelihood initiatives to ensure that you can fully benefit from your land,” she said. (By: Medel Mercado with inputs from DAR-Abra)
