The DAR turns over Php 3.3 million worth of farm machineries and equipment (FME) to improve the livelihood activities of the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) in Apayao.

“‘You reap what you sow!’ These six ARBOs in Apayao are now enjoying the rewards of their hard work. Their small sacrifices have finally brought them success,” Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Atty. Penelope B. De Ausen said.

CAJOMA MPC Chairman Gilbert Galut expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the DAR, emphasizing that their dedication to complying with agency guidelines and actively participating in government programs enabled them to receive these vital farm equipment. He added that the new machineries would significantly boost their agricultural productivity and efficiency.

Among the FMEs distributed to the ARBOs were heavy-duty hand tractors, tractors with rotavators, tractor-mounted corn seeders with trailers, standalone corn seeders, water pumps, knapsack sprayers, rotary tillers, and brush tillers. Aside from increasing productivity, these advanced tools aim to mechanize farming operations and reduce the physical labor of ARBs.

The initiative was implemented under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Program (CRFPSP), which helps ARBs and smallholder farmers adopt modern agricultural technology, innovative farming techniques, and essential skills training to ensure sustainable agricultural production.
