ARBs from Barangay Kanibong in Tulunan, North Cotabato, secure insurance coverage to protect their crops from unforeseen agricultural challenges.

Tulunan, North Cotabato – To strengthen support for Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs), the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), in partnership with the Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC), has insured 124 ARBs in Tulunan, North Cotabato against crop losses due to natural calamities, pests and diseases.

Seventy ARBs from Barangay Kanibong and 54 from Barangay New Caridad were recently covered through the efforts of DAR provincial personnel and with the cooperation of local officials.

“This crop insurance serves as a safety net, giving our ARBs the confidence to continue farming despite unpredictable challenges,” said DAR Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) Evangeline Bueno. “It helps ensure that they can recover and sustain their livelihoods.”

Bueno thanked the barangay officials for their continued support and emphasized the government’s commitment to empowering ARBs by providing tools that build resilience and promote food security.

“This partnership with PCIC assures our ARBs that they are not alone. We are here to support them every step of the way,” Bueno added.

DAR at PICIC Nagkaloob ng Insurance sa 124 ARBs sa Tulunan

Tulunan, North Cotabato – Bilang tulong sa Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs), nagsanib-puwersa ang Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) at Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) upang mabigyan ng crop insurance ang 124 ARBs sa Tulunan, North Cotabato laban sa pinsalang dulot ng kalamidad, peste, at sakit ng pananim.

Pitumpung (70) ARBs mula sa Barangay Kanibong at 54 mula sa Barangay New Caridad ang nabigyan ng insurance sa tulong ng mga kawani ng DAR provincial office at pakikiisa ng mga lokal na opisyal.

“Ang crop insurance ay nagsisilbing proteksyon para sa ating ARBs upang magpatuloy sila sa pagsasaka kahit may mga hindi inaasahang hamon,” ayon kay DAR Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) Evangeline Bueno. “Ito ay tumutulong sa kanilang muling makabangon at maipagpatuloy ang kanilang kabuhayan.”

Nagpasalamat si Bueno sa mga opisyal ng barangay sa kanilang patuloy na suporta at binigyang-diin ang hangarin ng pamahalaan na bigyan ng lakas ang mga ARBs sa pamamagitan ng mga programang makatutulong sa kanilang katatagan at sa seguridad sa pagkain.

“Sa tulong ng PCIC, pinapatunayan natin sa ARBs na hindi sila nag-iisa. Narito kami para umalalay sa bawat hakbang ng kanilang paglalakbay,” dagdag ni Bueno.

Ang proyektong ito ng DAR, PCIC at lokal na pamahalaan ay patunay ng sama-samang pagtutulungan para sa kapakanan ng ARBs sa Tulunan at sa pagpapalakas ng sektor ng agrikultura.
