Misamis Occidental – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Misamis Occidental and the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) – Panaon have joined forces to enhance the skills and productivity of members of Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) in the province.

This collaboration seeks to strengthen ARBOs improve agricultural productivity, and promote long-term sustainability, through training and the provision of technological support. Discussions are underway to finalize a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA), which will serve as the foundation for these initiatives.

Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) II Mohammad Abdul Jabbar Pandapatan expressed confidence in the partnership’s impact.

“This collaboration reinforces our commitment to empowering ARBOs through knowledge and innovation, ensuring their growth and self-sufficiency,” he said.

Dr. Leny Q. Añasco, Acting Campus Director of USTP-Panaon, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the university’s role in bridging research and technology with agriculture.

“USTP-Panaon is eager to support DAR in equipping ARBOs with the necessary skills and technology to boost productivity and drive sustainable agricultural development,” she stated.

DAR at USTP Magtutulungan para Palakasin ang ARBOs sa Misamis Occidental

Misamis Occidental – Magtutulungan ang Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Misamis Occidental at ang University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP) – Panaon upang mapaunlad ang kasanayan at pagiging produktibo ng mga miyembro ng Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) sa lalawigan.

Layunin ng proyektong ito na palakasin ang ARBOs, pataasin ang ani, at tiyakin ang pangmatagalang kaunlaran sa agrikultura sa pamamagitan ng pagsasanay at pagkakaloob ng makabagong teknolohiya. Kasalukuyang tinatapos ang Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) na magiging pundasyon ng mga programang ito.

Ipinahayag ni Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) II Mohammad Abdul Jabbar Pandapatan ang kanyang tiwala sa magiging epekto ng nasabing pagtutulungan.

“Ang kolaborasyong ito ay nagpapatibay sa aming pangako na bigyang-lakas ang ARBOs sa pamamagitan ng kaalaman at inobasyon upang matiyak ang kanilang paglago at kalaunan ay kayang makapagsarili,” aniya.

Sinang-ayunan naman ito ni Dr. Leny Q. Añasco, Acting Campus Director ng USTP-Panaon, na binigyang-diin ang papel ng unibersidad sa pagsasama ng pananaliksik at teknolohiya sa agrikultura.

“Nakikiisa ang USTP-Panaon sa DAR sa pagbibigay ng tamang kasanayan at teknolohiya sa ARBOs upang mapabuti ang kanilang produksyon at maisulong ang pangmatagalang kaunlarang pang-agrikultura,” pahayag niya.

Ang pakikipagtulungang ito ay isang mahalagang hakbang tungo sa pagpapabuti ng kabuhayan ng Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) at sa pagharap nila sa mga pagbabago sa sektor ng agrikultura.
