Roxas City, Capiz – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) in Capiz has turned over P2.1 million worth of farm machineries and equipment (FME) to Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance farm productivity, reduce labor costs, and promote mechanization within the province’s Agrarian Reform Communities (ARCs).

The Capagao Small Farmers Agrarian Reform Cooperative (CSF-ARCO) received a 40HP 4WD Tractor with a Rotary Tiller and a Walk-behind Transplanter, valued at P1.5 million. The CIMDA Agrarian Reform Cooperative was awarded a Walk-behind Transplanter worth P300,000. Additionally, the Sta. Cruz Agrarian Reform Cooperative was provided with various equipment, including a corn cracker and pulverizer machine, a pelleting machine, a generator, an incubator, and a poultry house, totaling P300,000 worth of support.

The DAR also conducted an Operation & Maintenance Training, followed by the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to ensure the proper use and long-term sustainability of the equipment.

This initiative was made possible through the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Program, which equips the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) with tools and technology to improve agricultural productivity to adapt to the challenges of climate change.

DAR Regional Director Leomides R. Villareal emphasized the importance of providing ARBOs with modern farming tools and technology saying: “This initiative reflects DAR’s ongoing commitment to support and empower farmers by giving them access to essential machinery and livelihood opportunities.”

Through these interventions, the DAR Capiz aims to strengthen sustainable agricultural practices, reduce dependence on manual labor, and contribute to the overall development of ARCs in the province. (By: Medel Mercado with contributions from the DAR field office)

DAR Capiz Namahagi ng P2.1 Milyong Halaga ng Makinarya at Kagamitang Pangsaka sa mga ARBO

Roxas City, Capiz – Nagkaloob ang Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) sa Capiz ng P2.1 milyong halaga ng farm machineries and equipment (FME) sa mga Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) bilang bahagi ng patuloy nitong pagsisikap na mapalakas ang produktibidad ng mga sakahan, mabawasan ang mga gastos sa paggawa, at itaguyod ang mekanisasyon sa loob ng Agrarian Reform Communities (ARCs) sa buong lalawigan.

Nakatanggap ang Capagao Small Farmers Agrarian Reform Cooperative (CSF-ARCO) ng 40HP 4WD Tractor na may Rotary Tiller at Walk-behind Transplanter, na nagkakahalaga na P1.5 milyon. Ang CIMDA Agrarian Reform Cooperative naman ay nakatanggap ng Walk-behind Transplanter na nagkakahalaga ng P300,000. Samantala, ang Sta. Cruz Agrarian Reform Cooperative ay binigyan ng iba’t ibang kagamitan tulad ng corn cracker at pulverizer machine, pelleting machine, generator, incubator, at poultry house, na may kabuuang P300,000 halaga ng suporta.

Nagsagawa rin ang DAR ng Operation and Maintenance training, na sinundan ng paglagda ng Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) upang matiyak ang tamang paggamit at pangmatagalang pagpapanatili ng mga kagamitan.

Ang inisyatibang ito ay naging possible sa pamamagitan ng Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Program, na nagbibigay sa mga Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) ng mga kasangkapan at teknolohiya upang mapabuti ang produktibidad ng agrikultura umangkop sa mga hamon ng pagbabago ng klima.

Binigyang-diin ni DAR Regional Director Leomides R. Villareal ang kahalagahan ng pagbibigay sa mga ARBO ng makabagong mga kasangkapan at teknolohiya sa pagsasaka: “Ang inisyatiba na ito ay sumasalamin sa patuloy na pangako ng DAR na suportahan at bigyang kapangyarihan ang mga magsasaka sa pamamagitan ng pagbibigay sa kanila ng access sa mahahalang makinarya at oportunidad sa kabuhayan.”

Sa pamamagitan ng mga interbensyon na ito, ang DARPO Capiz ay naglalayon na palakasin ang mga gawaing pang-agrikultura, mabawasan ang manu-manong paggawa, at maging bahagi sa pangkalahatang pag-unlad ng mga ARC sa lalawigan.
