Male DAR employees present roses to female personnel during the DAR’s National Women’s Month Celebration (NWMC) 2025 program.

Quezon City – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) joins the nation in celebrating National Women’s Month (NWMC) 2025 with a series of activities aimed at empowering and supporting its female personnel and agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs).

With the theme “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas,” the celebration highlights optimism and hope for a future where women’s lives are uplifted. It reinforces DAR’s commitment to turning gender equality policies into meaningful, and tangible changes, in line with the Magna Carta of Women, which promotes women empowerment, gender equality, and equitable access to resources and opportunities.

National GAD Steering Committee Chairperson and Finance, Management, and Administration Office Undersecretary Lani C. De Leon addresses DAR employees on the importance of promoting women’s empowerment.

Recognizing the vital role of women in agrarian reform communities and rural development, DAR has lined up various activities to foster an inclusive and empowering environment:

· March 11 – Cancer Education Forum

· March 11/12/14 – Omnibus Rules on Leave

· March 13/14 – Empowering Micro, Small Enterprises and Cooperatives (MSEC): Exploring: Support Programs and Strategies for Growth

· March 17 – Skills Empowerment: Baking 101

DAR Undersecretaries Lani C. De Leon, Rowena Niña O. Taduran, and Amihilda J. Sangcopan, together with Assistant Secretary Vinci Araullo-Beltran, lead the celebration of National Women’s Month (NWMC) 2025 by empowering and enabling the Department’s female personnel through a series of activities.

· March 21 – Benchmark Activity: PhilRice

· March 24 – Skills Empowerment: Crochet Making

· March 26 – Financial Literacy

· March 27 – Pop-Up Cinema

· March 28 – Online Showing, Sectoral Cooking Show, and NWMC 2025 Closing

DAR Undersecretary for Finance, Management, and Administration Office (FMAO), and Chairperson of the National Gender and Development (GAD) Steering Committee Lani C. De Leon, emphasized that this celebration is not only a tribute to women’s achievements but also a call to action for gender equality, inclusivity, and empowerment.

“We recognize the vital role of women in agrarian reform and rural development, from our hardworking women farmers to our dedicated women leaders and employees. Your resilience, dedication, and passion continue to inspire positive change. Let us celebrate and advocate for a future where every woman rises,” said Usec. De Leon.

As part of the celebration, various stalls, mini-shops, tiangges, and other services are available at the DAR Central Office grounds in Quezon City throughout the the month of March. (By: Medel Mercado)

DAR Ipinagdiriwang ang Buwan ng Kababaihan

Quezon City – Nakikiisa ang Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) sa pagdiriwang ng National Women’s Month (NWMC) 2025 sa pamamagitan ng iba’t ibang aktibidad na naglalayong palakasin at suportahan ang mga babaeng kawani nito at agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs).

May temang “Babae sa Lahat ng Sektor, Aangat ang Bukas,” ang selebrasyon ay nagbibigay ng pag-asa at optimismo, tungo sa isang hinaharap kung saan ang buhay ng kababaihan ay umuunlad. Ipinapakita rin nito ang pangako ng DAR na gawing konkretong aksyon ang mga patakaran sa pagkakapantay-pantay ng mga kasarian, alinsunod sa Magna Carta of Women, na naglalayong palakasin ang kababaihan, isulong ang gender equality, at tiyakin ang pantay na oportunidad at access sa resources.

Bilang pagkilala sa mahalagang papel ng kababaihan sa agrarian reform communities at pag-unlad ng kanayunan, inihanda ng DAR ang iba’t ibang aktibidad upang magsulong ng isang inklusibo at makapangyarihang kapaligiran:

Ayon kay DAR Undersecretary for Finance, Management, and Administration at Chairperson ng National Gender and Development (GAD) Steering Committee Lani C. De Leon, ang selebrasyong ito ay hindi lamang pagkilala sa tagumpay ng kababaihan kundi isang panawagan din para sa pagkakapantay-pantay ng kasarian, inklusibidad, at higit pang pagpapalakas ng kababaihan.

“Kinilala namin ang mahalagang papel ng kababaihan sa repormang agraryo at pag-unlad ng kanayunan, mula sa mga masisipag na kababaihang magsasaka hanggang sa mga dedikadong kababaihang lider at kawani. Ang inyong sipagy, dedikasyon, at pagmamalasakit ay patuloy na nagiging inspirasyon para sa positibong pagbabago. Ipagdiwang natin at ipaglaban ang isang kinabukasan kung saan ang bawat babae ay aangat,” ani Usec. De Leon.

Bilang bahagi ng selebrasyon, magkakaroon ng iba’t ibang mga stall, mini-shop, tiangge, at iba pang mga serbisyo sa DAR Central Office grounds sa Quezon City sa buong buwan ng Marso.
