DON VICTORIANO, Misamis Occidental – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has launched a Farm Business School (FBS) to help local farmers turn their agricultural efforts into profitable enterprises.

Thirty (30) members of the Petianan Agrarian Beneficiaries Farmers Association Inc. (PAFBA) will undergo seventeen (17) training sessions designed to enhance their farming techniques, develop their entrepreneurial mindset, and improve their market strategies.

The goal is to boost productivity, increase harvest quality, and raise farmers’ incomes.

“This training is a game-changer for our farmers,” said Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer Kareen Mae Espiga. “It equips them with the skills to farm smarter, earn more, and compete in the market effectively,” she added.

Misamis Occidental Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer Mohammad Abdul Jabbar M. Pandapatan urged participants to maximize this opportunity, emphasizing that not all Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) were selected.

“You are fortunate to be part of the FBS. Take this chance to become successful agri-entrepreneurs,” he said.

Municipal Agriculturist Nylvyn T. Tugano, representing Mayor Bertoldo J. Murallon Jr., assured PAFBA members of the local government’s full support and suggested expanding the program to other barangays.

PAFBA President Romeo Pulosan Sr. expressed gratitude to DAR and encouraged fellow farmers to make the most of the training.

“Farming without proper knowledge is difficult. This program gives us the tools to succeed, and we should embrace it,” he said.

The event concluded with the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between DAR, the local government of Don Victoriano, and PAFBA, solidifying their commitment to the program’s success.

DAR Naglunsad ng Farm Business School sa Para sa mga ARB ng Misamis Occidental

DON VICTORIANO, Misamis Occidental – Inilunsad ng Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) ang Farm Business School (FBS) upang matulungan ang mga lokal na magsasaka na gawing mas kumikita ang kanilang pagsasaka.

Tatlumpung (30) miyembro ng Petianan Agrarian Beneficiaries Farmers Association Inc. (PAFBA) ang sasailalim sa labing-pitong (17) sesyon ng pagsasanay upang mapabuti ang kanilang paraan ng pagsasaka, mapaunlad ang kanilang kaalaman sa pagnenegosyo, at mapalakas ang kanilang kakayahan sa pagbebenta ng produkto.

Layunin nitong pataasin ang ani, pagandahin ang kalidad ng mga produkto, at palakihin ang kita ng mga magsasaka.

“Malaking tulong ang pagsasanay na ito para sa ating mga magsasaka,” ayon kay Chief Agrarian Reform Program Officer Kareen Mae Espiga. “Matutulungan nito silang magtanim nang mas maayos, kumita nang higit, at makipagsabayan sa pamilihan,” dagdag niya.

Hinimok naman ni Misamis Occidental Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer Mohammad Abdul Jabbar M. Pandapatan ang mga kasapi na sulitin ang bihirang pagkakataong ito dahil hindi lahat ng Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Organizations (ARBOs) ay napili para sa programa.

“Mapalad kayo na napabilang sa FBS. Gamitin ninyo ang pagkakataong ito upang maging matagumpay na agri-negosyante,” aniya.

Ipinahayag din ni Municipal Agriculturist Nylvyn T. Tugano, na kumatawan kay Mayor Bertoldo J. Murallon Jr., ang buong suporta ng lokal na pamahalaan sa programa at iminungkahing palawakin ito sa iba pang barangay.

“Mahirap ang pagsasaka kung walang tamang kaalaman. Ang programang ito ay nagbibigay sa atin ng mga kasangkapan upang magtagumpay, kaya dapat natin itong pahalagahan,” aniya.

Nagtapos ang programa sa paglagda ng Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) sa pagitan ng DAR, lokal na pamahalaan ng Don Victoriano, at PAFBA, bilang patunay ng kanilang pangako sa tagumpay ng proyekto.

Sa pamamagitan ng FBS, hindi lang itinuturing na magsasaka ang ARBs—kundi hinuhubog din sila bilang mga negosyante na handang makipagsabayan sa lumalawak at kompetitibong agrikultura.
