The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) unlocks more economic opportunities for farmers of the Cordillera Administrative Region by distributing 1,944 Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgages (CoCRoM), erasing Php80.17 million worth of debts that for decades had burdened 1,421 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs).

The distribution of CoCRoMs comes with the distribution of 579 land titles, covering 371.9 hectares of agricultural lands, to 515 ARBs from the provinces of Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga, and Mountain Province.

These government initiatives promised not only legal landownership but a renewed sense of hope for sustainable farming practices. The DAR turned over Php90 million worth of support services, which include the completion of seven (7) farm-to-market roads and 193 units of farm machinery and equipment (FMEs) in the region, improving the Cordillera farmers’ productivity and access to better markets.

Marcelo Guisoben, an ARB from Kalinga, said farmers are very happy because their land debts have been settled.

“We deeply thank this administration for the blessings we received. Our lands are now free from debts, and the land titles are finally in our hands,” he said.

Key figures, including DAR-CAR Regional Director Samuel Solomero, Kalinga Governor James Edduba, Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang, Congressman Maximo Dalog Jr., Presidential Communication Office Assistant Secretary Antonio Tabora, DAR Assistant Secretary Atty Eugene Follante, and Assistant Secretary Rodolfo Castil Jr., graced this historic event.

Castil urged the farmers to make their lands productive for the sake of their families and communities.

“The dreams of farmers are the dreams of this nation,” he said.

DAR nagbukas ng mas maraming oportunidad sa mga magsasaka ng Cordillera

Nagbukas mas maraming oportunidad ang Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) sa mga magsasaka ng Cordillera Administrative Region sa pamamagitan ng pamamahagi ng 1,944 Certificates of Condonation with Release of Mortgages (CoCRoM), na nagbubura sa Php80.17 milyong halagang utang na sa loob ng mga dekada ay nagpapahirap sa 1,421 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs).

Ang pamamahagi ng CoCRoMs, ay sinabayan ng pamamahagi ng 579 titulo ng lupa, na sumasakop sa 371.9 ektarya, sa 515 ARBs mula sa mga lalawigan ng Abra, Apayao, Benguet, Ifugao, Kalinga at Mountain Province.

Ang inisyatibong ito ay hindi lamang nagdadala ng pangako sa legal na pagmamay-ari ng lupa kundi ng panibagong pag-asa para sa napapanatiling mga kasanayan sa pagsasaka. Ang DAR ay nagkaloob ng Php90 milyong halaga ng suportang serbisyo, na kinabibilangan ng pagkumpleto sa pitong (7) farm-to-market roads at 193 unit ng farm machinery at equipment (FMEs) sa rehiyon, na nagpapataas ng produktibidad at access sa merkado ng mga magsasaka mula sa Cordillera.

Sinabi ni Marcelo Guisoben, isang ARB mula sa Kalinga, na napakasaya ng mga magsasaka dahil wala na silang mga utang sa kanilang lupain.

“Maraming salamat po sa administrasyong ito sa mga biyayang natanggap namin. Ang aming mga lupa ay wala ng utang, at ang mga titulo ng lupa ay nasa kamay na namin,” aniya.

Ang makasaysayang kaganapang ito ay dinaluhan nina DAR-CAR Regional Director Samuel Solomero, Kalinga Governor James Edduba, Congressman Allen Jesse Mangaoang, Congressman Maximo Dalog Jr., Presidential Communication Office Assistant Secretary Antonio Tabora, DAR Assistant Secretary Eugene Follante, at Assistant Secretary Rodolfo Castil Jr.

Hinikayat ni Castil ang mga magsasaka na gawing produktibo ang kanilang mga lupain para sa kapakanan ng kanilang pamilya at ng komunidad.

“Ang mga pangarap ng mga magsasaka ay ang mga pangarap din ng bansang ito,”aniya.
