Mabuhay, Zamboanga Sibugay — The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the Kauswagan Integrated Farmers Services Association (KIFSA) to strengthen the production and marketing of their signature spicy vinegar – sinamak.

The partnership will provide new livelihood opportunities for Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in the area.

KIFSA —a DAR-assisted agrarian reform beneficiaries organization (ARBO) in Mabuhay, Zamboanga Sibugay — will receive Php 500,000 in infrastructure support, through the Village Level Farm-Focused Enterprise Development (VLFED) Project to upgrade its processing center. This funding will enhance production capacity, improve product quality and help expand KIFSA’s market reach.

Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) II Rolando M. Libetario, Jr., CPA, emphasized DAR’s commitment to empowering ARBs beyond land distribution by providing continuous enterprise development support. “We are dedicated to helping ARBs build sustainable livelihoods through projects like this,” he said.

Mabuhay Mayor Edreluisa O. Caloñge, MD, reaffirmed the local government’s support, stating, “The legislative and executive agenda of LGU Mabuhay is to uplift our people, with livelihood programs being one of our top priorities.” She expressed gratitude for the collaboration, and pledged continued support as long as the community remains committed to the initiative.

Aside from infrastructure, the project will also provide training on product quality enhancement, participation in trade fairs, and other business development activities to strengthen KIFSA’s presence in the local market.

DTI Provincial Director Ma. Rovie L. Manzanares, KIFSA Chairman Olivia S. Omamalin, and Barangay Kauswagan Captain Leonardo S. Omamalin expressed their gratitude and pledged full support for the initiative.

DAR Zambo Sibugay at KIFSA Magtutulungan Para Palakasin ang Produksyon ng Sinamak

Mabuhay, Zamboanga Sibugay — Lumagda sa isang kasunduan ang Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) at ang Kauswagan Integrated Farmers Services Association (KIFSA) upang palakasin ang paggawa at pagbebenta ng kanilang espesyal na maanghang na suka – na kung tawagin ay sinamak.

Sa pamamagitan ng partnership na ito, magkakaroon ng bagong oportunidad sa kabuhayan ang Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs).

Sa ilalim ng kasunduang ito, makakatanggap ang KIFSA — isang Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organization (ARBO) sa Mabuhay, Zamboanga Sibugay na tinutulungan ng DAR — ng Php 500,000 na suporta sa imprastraktura sa pamamagitan ng Village Level Farm-Focused Enterprise Development (VLFED) Project. Ang pondong ito ay gagamitin upang mapabuti ang kanilang processing center, mapalakas ang produksyon, mapaganda ang kalidad ng produkto at mapalawak ang kanilang merkado.

Ayon kay Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) II Rolando M. Libetario, Jr., CPA, patuloy ang pagsisikap ng DAR na suportahan ang mga ARB hindi lang sa pamamahagi ng lupa kundi pati na rin sa pagbuo ng kanilang kabuhayan. “Layunin naming tulungan ang mga ARB na magkaroon ng pangmatagalang hanapbuhay sa pamamagitan ng mga proyektong tulad nito,” aniya.

Sinabi naman ni Mabuhay Mayor Edreluisa O. Caloñge, MD na ang lokal na pamahalaan ay buong pusong sumusuporta sa programa. “Isa sa mga pangunahing prayoridad namin ang mga programang pangkabuhayan upang maiangat ang buhay ng ating mamamayan,” wika niya. Nagpahayag din siya ng pasasalamat at nangakong patuloy na susuportahan ang proyekto hangga’t nananatiling masigasig ang komunidad dito.

Bukod sa pagpapatayo ng imprastraktura, ang proyekto ay magsasagawa rin ng pagsasanay para mapabuti ang kalidad ng produkto, pagsali sa mga trade fair, at iba pang mga aktibidad sa pagpapalago ng negosyo upang palakasin ang presensya ng KIFSA sa lokal na merkado.

Nagpahayag din ng pasasalamat at suporta sa proyekto sina DTI Provincial Director Ma. Rovie L. Manzanares, KIFSA Chairman Olivia S. Omamalin, at Barangay Kauswagan Captain Leonardo S. Omamalin.

Patuloy na isinusulong ng DAR ang mga programang pangkabuhayan para sa mga ARBs at kanilang pamilya upang matiyak ang pangmatagalang repormang agraryo at pag-unlad ng ekonomiya.
