Monkayo, Davao de Oro – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has granted debt relief amounting to Php 17.7 million to the Ricop Monkayo Farmworkers Agrarian Reform Cooperative (RIMFARCO), a 27-year-old Agrarian Reform Beneficiary Organization (ARBO) in Jaguimitan, Monkayo, Davao de Oro.

This was formalized through the distribution of the Certificate of Condonation with Release of Mortgage (COCROM), effectively freeing the cooperative from land amortization payments.

A total of 132 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) under RIMFARCO will benefit from the condonation, covering a total area of 278.28 hectares of agricultural land. With this financial burden lifted, the cooperative can now allocate more resources toward improving productivity and agricultural development.

“What we have long awaited has finally arrived, something we never expected. We no longer have to pay a large amount, and our cooperative funds will not be depleted. This has a huge impact on our cooperative. I extend my deepest gratitude to the DAR and our President for this initiative under Republic Act No. 11953,” said RIMFARCO Chairman Danilo Gevero.
