Basud, Camarines Norte – Just in time for the upcoming palay harvest season, the Bactas Matnog Mampili Farmers Association (BMMFA) received a Kubota DC-35 Rice Combine Harvester (RCH) worth Php 1,499,500.

Along with the new Farm Machineries and Equipment (FMEs), BMMFA also got agricultural inputs worth Php 150,520 under the Major Crop-Based Block-Farm Enhancement Support Project of the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Program (CRFPSP).

The association will participate in a modular Farmer Field School (FFS) later this year to equip Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) with essential knowledge and skills to adapt to evolving agricultural challenges.

This project is designed to help ARBs overcome challenges such as unpredictable weather and strenuous manual labor. The new harvester streamlines the harvesting process, reduces post-harvest losses, and increases overall yields—ultimately boosting farmers’ income and strengthening food security in the province.

“Our association is very fortunate to receive this essential piece of machinery,” said Maria De Vera, Treasurer of BMMFA. “This will ease the harvest of our palay, even during rainy seasons or calamities.”

To ensure proper use and maintenance of the FME, Melvin Leones from AIMS Venture conducted an orientation and hands-on training for selected operators, baggers, and ARB officers. Participants engaged in practical demonstrations and discussions to maximize the harvester’s benefits.

Php 1.5-M FME, Magpapalakas ng Produksyon ng Palay at Kita ng mga ARB sa CamNorte

Basud, Camarines Norte – Tamang-tama para sa nalalapit sa panahon ng anihan ng palay, ay natanggap ng Bactas Matnog Mampili Farmers Association (BMMFA) ang isang Kubota DC-35 Rice Combine Harvester (RCH) na nagkakahalaga ng Php 1,499,500.

Bukod dito, nakatanggap ang BMMFA ng mga agricultural inputs na may halagang Php 150,520 sa ilalim ng Major Crop-Based Block-Farm Enhancement Support Project ng Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support Program (CRFPSP).

Ang proyektong ito ay naglalayong tulungan ang Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) na malampasan ang mga hamon tulad ng pabago-bagong panahon at nakakapagod na manu-manong paggawa. Ang bagong harvester ay nagpapadali sa proseso ng pag-aani, nagpapababa ng pagkalugi pagkatapos ng anihan, at nagpapataas ng kabuuang ani—na sa huli ay nagpapalago ng kita ng mga magsasaka at nagpapatibay ng seguridad sa pagkain sa lalawigan.

“Napakaswerte ng aming samahan na makatanggap ng ganitong mahalagang makinarya,” sabi ni Maria De Vera, Treasurer ng BMMFA. “Mapapadali nito ang pag-aani ng aming palay, kahit sa panahon ng tag-ulan o kalamidad.”

Upang matiyak ang tamang paggamit at pangangalaga sa FME, nagsagawa si Melvin Leones mula sa AIMS Venture ng isang oryentasyon at praktikal na pagsasanay para sa piling mga operator, bagger, at opisyal ng ARB. Aktibong nakilahok sa mga demonstrasyon at talakayan ang mga kalahok upang lubos na mapakinabangan ang benepisyo ng harvester.

Ang pagdating ng makabagong kagamitang ito ay isang mahalagang hakbang tungo sa modernisasyon ng mga pamamaraan sa pagsasaka sa Camarines Norte, na nagbibigay ng kinakailangang suporta at ginhawa sa mga lokal na magsasaka habang tinitiyak ang pangmatagalang pag-unlad ng agrikultura.
