City of San Fernando, Pampanga. Two venues. One goal. 308 titles awarded.
To celebrate the 35th year of the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program or CARP, DAR Central Luzon Management under the leadership of Regional Director James Arsenio Ponce, CESO III, and Assistant Regional Director Atty. Odgie Cayabyab spearheaded the distribution of land titles to the agrarian reform beneficiaries of Bataan, Bulacan, Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, and Tarlac.
“The distribution of emancipation patents (EPs) and certificates of land ownership award (CLOAs) is aligned with the thrust of DAR Secretary Conrado Estrella III and the directive of President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. to fast track the land acquisition and distribution component of CARP”, Director Ponce emphasized.
A total of 124 EPs and 184 CLOAs were awarded in Tarlac City, Tarlac and City of San Fernando, Pampanga. The DAR-assisted farmers are tilling about 180 hectares of farmlands.
During the separate ceremonies, Undersecretary for Planning, Policy & Research Office Atty. Luis Meinrado Pangulayan personally handed out the land titles together with other DAR officials and echoed Secretary Estrella’s vision of transforming agrarian reform beneficiaries into beacons of hope, development and sustainability.
“CARP does not stop with the distribution of lands. And DAR will continue to ensure prompt delivery of relevant support services to the program beneficiaries”, Usec Pangulayan said.
The Undersecretary also enjoined the EP and CLOA recipients to nourish the awarded lands and cherish the land titles as a token of gratitude and reciprocity to the agrarian reform program of the government. (RIO Albert Sapnu)
