Tarlac City, TARLAC. For a genuine collaboration with the Office of 2nd District Representative Congressman Christian Yap and towards better public service, officials of the DAR Provincial Office in the province headed by PARPO II EnP. Rogelio Marzan pay a courtesy visit to the Congessman. 

PARPO II Marzan was accompanied by PARPO I Marie Louie Cabantac, PCAO Nenita Palomo of the Administrative Office, CARPO Maria Teresa Mina of the Program Beneficiaries Development Division, Technical Staff Gerald Fontanoza, and Gelardo Valdez of the Land Tenure Services.

Provincial Head Marzan shared the various programs of DARPO Tarlac implemented specifically in the 2nd District which covers the municipalities of  Victoria, Gerona, San Jose, and Tarlac City, where agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs), through their organizations, were granted various farm machineries and equipment like motorcycles with kolong-kolong, shallow tube wells, organic fertilizers under the Sustainable and Resilient Agrarian Reform Communities (SuRE ARCs) Program of the Department. 

PARPO II Marzan also apprised the Congressman of the latter’s request which involves DARPO’s validation of sites for the construction of bridges which, according to Marzan, were already submitted to the DAR Regional Office for inclusion in the long list under the Pang Agraryong Tulay para sa Bagong Bayanihan ng mga Magsasaka (PBBM) Program.

Meanwhile, PARPO I Cabantac manifested that two (2) farm-to-market-road projects in Gerona town are now underway as validation and funding have been facilitated by DARPO to be constructed by DPWH Tarlac.  Said projects will promote rural development in agrarian reform communities and will benefit farmers, residents, and neighboring villages in the area, Cabantac said. 

PARPO II Marzan reiterated also the request of DARPO Tarlac for the construction of its office building indicating that its program of works (POWs) was already prepared by the DPWH. 

For his part, Congressman Yap vowed to support the programs of DARPO Tarlac as farming is the way to further boost the economy in the 2nd District. 

Yap likewise manifested various financial assistance that his office has so far provided for the rehabilitation of the processing center for the farmers’ organizations like AMIA Cruz Agriculture Cooperative in Victoria town under the Village Level Farm-Focused Enterprise Development (VLFED) Program of the Department to help the Filipino farmers in their agricultural productivity and improvement towards food security.
