Isabela LGU, DAR distribute CLOAs, rice to ARBs
CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, July 29 (PIA) - - The provincial government of Isabela (PGI) and the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) have conducted the distribution of Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOAs) to the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) in Northern Isabela towns.
The distribution was held on July 23, 2020 at Cabisera 8 in the City of Ilagan led by Gov. Rodolfo Albano III and DAR-2 Director Samuel Solomero and DAR Isabela head Engr. Eunomio P. Israel, Jr.
“DAR always supports our beloved Isabela farmers, they are providing them farm machineries and helping them to form cooperatives to avail of the many services from government agencies, and so with the provincial government, we are continuously helping them to become productive Isabela farmers," Albano said during the awarding ceremony.
Albano said the farmers are really in need of assistance especially in the production of agricultural products as he stressed that farmers are the people who are feeding the nation.
“We know that our farmers need help especially in this time of pandemic, we must help time survive and surpass and survive this crisis," the governor added.
The awarding of CLOA’s and assistance from the PGI were received by ARBs from the towns of Cabagan, City of Ilagan, Delfin Albano, San Pablo, Sta. Maria and Sto Tomas, all from Northern Isabela as part of DAR’s “The PaSSOver: ARBold Move for the Deliverance of our Farmers in the COVID-19 Pandemic.
The program aims to extend support to ARBs who are “frontlines in food security” in partnership with the Provincial Government of Isabela. Records show that there are already 3,182 CLOA beneficiaries in the province since the program was started. (BME/MGE - PIA-2/Isabela)
