TLFC expands its services to Vizcayano farmers

The Tiblak Langak Farmers Association (TLFA), one of the outstanding and good performing agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs) of the Department of Agrarian Reform  (DAR) in the province of Nueva Vizcaya in supporting and serving smallholder farmers and other stakeholders particularly in Ambaguio.

The  said association was organized on October 10, 2010 and was duly registered to the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) on October 10, 2013.

Through the DAR's programs and projects, the organization was able to receive numerous interventions such as processing center under VLCEP project, two units of power tiller, two units of grass cutter, and various farm inputs under CRFPS in 2018, a multipurpose portable solar dryer under CRFPS in 2019, 1000 coffee seedlings, and capability development trainings for the ARBO and ARBs.

Also, agricultural and product development trainings and other government-provided services  were given by partner agencies like DTI and DA.

With these, the aforementioned organization would be able to provide and extend the necessary assistance to its members, majority of whom are involved in agricultural production. The main product of Ambaguio is Robusta Coffee, which is well-known in the market for its high quality and aroma, and the ARBO plays an important role in advertising and endorsing the product in the market. The ARBO serves as a partner of the DAR in connecting smallholder farmers to higher value chains, which would help them increase their income and carry out profitable activities.

The officers and members decided to register with the Cooperative Development Authority  inorder to expand its services and to seek interventions.

As of now, the organization has a total member of 400, 200  of which are agrarian reform beneficiaries.

With the members' hard work and perseverance, on October 24, 2022, they received the Certificate of Compliance and Registration from the Cooperative Development Authority(CDA) in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

The Tiblak Farmers Association now as Tiblak Farmers Agriculture Cooperative is ready to serve not only its members but the community as a whole.
