26 DAR-TESDA Scholars Finished Welding Course in Sto. Tomas, Davao del Norte
26 Agrarian Reform Beneficiary (ARB) Scholars from the Municipality of Sto. Tomas recently completed the Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC 1 Course of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Scholarship Program for Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARB) Households.
PARPO II Jocelyn Seno of DAR Davao del Norte graced the event together with 2nd District Congressman of Davao del Norte Allan Dujali, Municipal Mayor of Sto. Tomas, Ernesto Evangelista, Municipal Agrarian Reform Officer Floradelfa Montes and TESDA Provincial and Assistant Regional Director Arlyn Bandong.
The collaboration of the two agencies was sealed on last August 13, 2019 where Sec. Isidro Lapeña of TESDA and DAR Secretary John Castriciones signed a Memorandum of Agreement on a project partnership entitled “DAR-TESDA Convergence on Skills Training and competencies Enhancement for ARBs and Families”
The 26 DAR-TESDA Scholars joined other 290 TESDA Scholars in the municipality who also finished their respective courses such as NCII Cookery, NCII Bread and Pastry, Bread Making, Raise Organic Small Ruminants and Raise Organic Hogs, Automotive, Plumbing, and Electrical respectively.
