DAR Davao del Norte Launches ARBold Distribution Activity

DAR Provincial Office of Davao del Norte led by Ms. Jocelyn Seno, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II, started its food and non-food package distribution simultaneously in the 2 cities and 1 municipality of the province.

 A total of 194 food packs were recently delivered to several Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries in Panabo City, Tagum City and the municipality of Carmen.

 About eighty-five (85) food packs were delivered today at the  four barangays in Panabo City, namely: Barangay Nanyo, New Malitbog, Manay and Kauswagan. Forty-six (46) ARBs of Brgy. Guadalupe in the Municipality of Camen also received their food packs while 63 packs were distributed to the ARBs in Tagum City comprising the ARBs from Pagsabangan Tagum Farmer Irrigators  Association (PATAFIA), and Pagsabangan Farmers Irrigators Multi-Purpose Cooeprative (PAFIMCO).

 Oscar Amante, an ARB from New Malitbog High Value Crop Farmers Association in Panabo City said; “Daghan kaayong salamat kay nahatagan mi sa DAR og tabang sulod niining Covid19 Pandemic. First time namo nakadawat ani nga tabang gikan sa DAR ug nagpasabot lamang kini nga wala gyud mi pasagdi sa DAR” I would like to thank the Department of Agrarian Reform for giving us this aid despite the Covid19 Pandemic. This is the first time that we received this kind of assistance from DAR and it only proves that we are not being taken for granted by the DAR”.

 This undertaking is in-line with "The Passover: ARBold Move to Heal as One Deliverance of our ARBs from the COVID-19 Pandemic. A project of the Department of Agrarian Reform initiated by DAR Secretary John Castriciones as the agency’s response to Republic Act 11469 or "The Bayanihan to Heal as One Act". (PIO Davao del Norte)
