DOLE, DAR partnership help Magallanes fisherfolk

Barangay Taod-oy in the town of Magallanes, Agusan del Norte turns over the materials, tools, and equipment that was granted to Taod-oy Farmers Livelihood Association (TFLA) under the Department of Labor and Employment Integrated Livelihood Program (DOLE-ILP) amounting to more than PhP581 thousand for its proposed Bangus Production project.

Magallanes, Agusan del Norte – The Taod-oy Farmers Livelihood Association (TFLA) took a big step forward for their Bangus Production Project after receiving raw materials, tools, and equipment from the partnership of the department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) and the Department of Labor and Employment Integrated Livelihood Program (DOLE-ILP), last June 16, 2021.

Raw materials, tools, and equipment amounting P581,385.00 was turned over through the barangay local government unit of Brgy. Taod-oy and handed over to the organization.

DOLE Agusan Norte Provincial Head Keith C. Duran expressed  support to realize common goal in ensuring productivity and income of the beneficiaries.

DAR Agusan del Norte PARPO II Andre B. Atega, CESO V said the he is happy to see the development project which will provide additional income and livelihood to the agrarian reform beneficiaries and locals.

“Through the partnership with the DAR and DOLE, the group’s proposed Bangus production project is now a dream come true after it finally receives the materials and implements,” Atega said.

Chair Eleonor D. Galera, expressed gratitude to DOLE and DAR for their convergence initiatives for the release of the equipment to their association.

"This will be a great help for our members, especially to those involved in bangus production," Galera said.
