The 1st C-Title distribution in the Ilocos Region.

The Department of Agrarian Reform Province of Ilocos Sur is the first in the Ilocos Region to distribute computerized titles through the implementation of the Project SPLIT or Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling.

Secretary Bernie F. Cruz led the distribution to 22 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs)with 16.4683 hectares covering the municipalities of San Juan, San Esteban, Santiago and Suyo, on March 8, 2022 at the Provincial Farmers’ Livelihood Development Center in Vigan City.  Lands previously generated, registered and distributed under Collective Certificates of Landownership Award (CCLOAs) were subdivided and now issued with individual land titles.

As Secretary Cruz reiterated: “sana ang mga lupang naipamahagi sa inyo ay maalagaan at maipamana sa inyong mga anak.”

93 year old Angelina dela Cruz of Guimod, San Juan, Ilocos Sur, cannot contain the happiness she felt in receiving the title in her name as she can now proudly say, “bagik tay taltalonek a daga!.” (Rizalyn Ambida)
