DAR award titles, turn-over farm equipment and Tulay sa Pangulo in Aklan

Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III arrives in Aklan on February 16, 2023 for the ground-breaking of farm-to-market roads, turnover of Tulay ng Pangulo Para sa Kaunlaran Pang-agraryo (TPKP), distribution of electronic Collective Land Ownership Award (e-CLOAs) and farm machineries and equipment (FME) to aklanon farmers.

A total of 183 Certificate of Land Ownership Awards (CLOA) e-titles under Project SPLIT with a total area of 304.9723 has were awarded, benefitting 175 Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) from the municipalities of Altavas, Buruanga, Ibajay, Libacao, Madalag and Malay. 

Farm Machineries and Equipment (FMEs) such as delivery/cargo tricycle, thresher, floating tiller and engine amounting to Php 275,850.00 were awarded to 2 ARBOs namely Aglucay Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative and Rosario Multipurpose Cooperative. The said FMEs were procured under the Climate Resilient Productivity Support Program.

In addition, 4 barangays in the municipality of Ibajay namely Naisud, San Isidro, Bugtong Bato and Colong-colong have become the direct beneficiaries of the 8.4-M Tulay ng Pangulo para sa Kaunlarang Pang-agraryo project. The project started on February 7, 2022 and was completed on July 7, 2022.

 

Likewise, construction plans of farm to market roads  of the five barangays of Naile in Ibajay; Brgy. Tagaroroc in Nabas; Brgy. Sta. Cruz and Brgy. Biga-a in Lezo; Brgy. Aliputos in Numancia; and Brgy. Dangcalan in Malinao, all worth Php 50 million pesos, were bestowed to their respective Local Chief Executives.
