DAR capacitates PBD implementers through E-ARCOD training

TUGUEGARAO CITY – As part of the retooling mechanism strategy for Program Beneficiaries Development (PBD) implementers, the Department of Agrarian Reform Region 02 (DARR02) is conducting a four-day course on Enterprise-based Agrarian Reform Community Development (E-ARCOD) on February 21-24, 2023 at Crown Pavilion Hotel.

 The four-day training aims for the 38 selected PBD implementers/Development Facilitators (DFs) to be familiarized with the four (4) latest modules on E-ARCOD. Moreover, this course provides a common understanding of the ARC development process and ARC situation and roles in the implementation of PBD interventions.

 

Jenalyn F. Baleva, OIC-CARPO,RPBDD presented the overview of the different E-ARCOD modules namely: Enhancing Personal Effectiveness, Internalizing ARC Development Perspective, Acquiring ARC Development Skills and Formulating the Learning Action Plan.

According to her, this training will primarily strengthen the values, attitude, knowledge and skills of PBD field implementers/Development Facilitators in the effective implementation of the program.

 

On the other hand, Cagayan Valley Regional Director Primo C. Lara, said that the field personnel designated as DFs will undergo rigorous training such as this to become competent and effective in community organizing and enterprising DFs.

 

"After attending this course on E-ARCOD, you are ready to organize and handle agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations (ARBOs) in the agrarian reform communities (ARCs) effectively and efficiently", Lara emphasized.

 

Meanwhile, ARD for Administration Estrelita V. Go said that E-ARCOD training is an essential training for field personnel specifically the DFs for them to effectively implement entrepreneurial activities in their assigned ARBOs and ARCs.

 

In the said training, PARPO II-Quirino Jess Beth G. Quidasol, OIC-PARPO I-Cagayan Peter T. Barasi, SARPO Annie P. Lopez, ARCDS, and Melegrino P. Turingan, Sr. Trade Industry Dev’t Analyst of Dept. of Trade and Industry will serve as subject master experts (SMEs) to share their knowledge and expertise in this 4-day activity.
