DAR Aklan turns over P300K worth of support facilities to Pang-itan ARC

The Department of Agrarian Reform – Aklan through Partnership Against Hunger and Poverty Program (PAHP) officially turned over PhP 300,000 worth of support facilities to Pang-itan Agrarian Reform Cooperative in Pang-itan, Madalag, Aklan on September 29, 2023.

The construction for laying house with a floor area of 55 square meters started on July 14, 2023 to August 18, 2023. The support facilities include egg machine kit with 48 heads of chicken layer, galvanized steel cage with PVC feeders and nipple drinking, weighing scale, drums, feeds hose and saw dust.

The facility which is located about 300 meters from Pang-itan proper will benefit 35 agrarian reform beneficiaries not only in Pang-itan but also the adjacent barangays. The aim of this project is for the ARBO to access their products to the target market for sustainability as well as to increase member’s productivity and revenue.

OIC CARPO of the Program Beneficiaries Development Division,  Engr. Nora I. Dela Rosa, lauded the members of the Pang-itan ARC for accepting the project and for the support given by the local government. She likewise encouraged the organization to establish linkages to reach more consumers and improve the marketing of products.

Ms. Marianne N. Padalhin, Municipal Agriculturist of LGU Madalag in behalf of Hon.  Mayor Rex T. Gubatina expressed her gratitude to the DAR for all the support services and interventions. She also emphasized the value of the project because it will answer the problem of the municipality for having low production in egg.

In acceptance, Pang-itan ARC President Jonalyn T. Amante, showed the organization’s gratitude to DAR as well to other partner agencies for all the assistances extended to them. According to her, “We will always be grateful for your help. Without you, we would not be able to acquire this project. We assure that this project will not go to waste.”
