Onwards to a more efficient and more systematic Regional Office XIII, Records Management Training conducted

As part of its never-ending pursuit of increasing quality of service to the farmer beneficiaries and all other stakeholders, DAR XIII began its 2-day Records Management Training and Workshop on March 11, 2024 at Grand Palace Hotel, Butuan City.

 

Fresh from the recently concluded National Summative Assessment, Regional Director Atty. Merlita S. Capinpuyan took the opportunity to thank each and every employee for their important contributions which led DAR XIII to bag numerous awards and distinctions for its accomplishment in FY 2023.

 

As such, RD Capinpuyan also emphasized the importance of constantly improving our knowledge on records management and the weight the Records Section offers to the office as it is the "first and last touch" of most documents, and thus, should not be taken lightly.

 

Serving as in-house resource person, Admin. Officer III/Records Officer II Ma. Jessie P. Daquipil comprehensively discussed the stages of records management from its creation until its disposal. And briefly touching upon the legal bases of records management in the government service.

 

As first-time participant for this kind of training, Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Glenn Ian Catalan is thankful for the opportunity as he said, "I have learned a lot about taking care and properly filing of our records in the office these past 2 days. And now that I know about RDS and GRDS, we will have no trouble in filling up our NAP forms."

 

OIC-Assistant Regional Director Joie L. Ceballos disclosed that this is only the start amongst a series of upcoming training within the first half of CY 2024, as the office is aiming for ISO certification.

 

This training-workshop ran until March 12, with all the records custodians and other concerned personnel as the participants.
