Cavite cooperative renews contract to supply products to Taiwan NGO

The Tres Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Farmers Association Inc. in the province of Cavite renewed its contract to supply the required agricultural products of the Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF) for its childcare program to improve maternal, infant, and child nutrition in the Philippines.

James Arthur T. Dubongco, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II in Cavite said the first Memorandum of Agreement was signed last year between Danilo Arnes, President of the Tres Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Farmers Association, Inc., and Kai Li Chang, TFCF Philippines Branch Director.

“This partnership has assured the agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) of the association of a steady market for their products and opened up opportunities to further expose their products to other target consumers,” Dubongco said.

He said the association will continuously supply their harvested agricultural products to the TFCF, including root crops, fruits, and vegetables.

TFCF is an international non-governmental organization established 73 years ago that dedicates itself to providing support to vulnerable children and their families.

TFCF has its main headquarters in Taichung, Taiwan, and its corresponding Philippine branch is located in Mandaluyong. It boasts of remarkable achievements in helping underprivileged children and families in around 34 countries, including Mongolia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Jordan.

Nag-renew ng kontrata ang Tres Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Farmers Association Inc. sa lalawigan ng Cavite para magsuplay ng mga kinakailangang produktong pang-agrikultura ng Taiwan Fund for Children and Families (TFCF) para sa child care program nito upang mapabuti ang nutrisyon ng mga ina, sanggol, at bata sa Pilipinas.

Sinabi ni James Arthur T. Dubongco, Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR)Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II sa Cavite na ang unang Memorandum of Agreement ay nilagdaan noong nakaraang taon sa pagitan ni Danilo Arnes, Pangulo ng Tres Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Farmers Association, Inc. at Kai Li Chang, TFCF Philippines Branch Director.

"Tiniyak nng partnership na ito sa mga agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs) ng asosasyon ang isang matatag na merkado para sa kanilang mga produkto at nagbukas ng mga pagkakataon upang higit pang ilantad ang kanilang mga produkto sa iba pang mga target na mamimili," ani Dubongco.

Sinabi niya na ang asosasyon ay patuloy na magsu-suplay ng kanilang mga inani na produktong pang-agrikultura sa TFCF, kabilang na ang mga halamang ugat, prutas at gulay.

Ang TFCF ay isang internasyonal na non-government organization na itinatag 73 taon na ang nakararaan na nagbibigay ng suporta sa mga mahihinang bata at kanilang mga pamilya.

Ang TFCF ay mayroong pangunahing punong-tanggapan sa Taichung, Taiwan, at ang kaukulang sangay nito sa Pilipinas ay matatagpuan sa Mandaluyong. Ipinagmamalaki nito ang mga kahanga-hangang tagumpay sa pagtulong sa mga mahihirap na bata at pamilya sa 34 na bansa, kabilang ang Mongolia, Vietnam, Cambodia at Jordan.
