DAR Surigao del Norte/Dinagat Islands welcomes new provincial chief

 In a simple turnover ceremony, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer (PARPO) II, Vincent L. Ramos received the symbolic key of responsibility as the new director of the Department of  Agrarian Reform (DAR) Provincial Office of Surigao del Norte and Province of Dinagat Islands  (SDN&PDI) from outgoing OIC-PARPO II Engr. Milagrosa B. Bulawan on April 4, 2024 at Dapa,  Siargao Island, Surigao del Norte.

This new leadership of DAR SDN & PDI is by virtue of DAR Central Office Special Order No.  246 signed by Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III on March 20, 2024.

PARPO II Ramos is a native of Pangasinan. He started his journey at the Central Office where he rose from the ranks before his eventual designation at Surigao del Norte.

In his first address, PARPO II Ramos, promised the people of Surigao del Norte that he will  serve with confidence to address the pressing issues and concerns that are currently being  faced. He continued, “We must strive to continue to promote social justice and to empower  further our agrarian reform beneficiaries.”

For her farewell message, outgoing OIC-PARPO II Bulawan expressed her support for incoming PARPO II Ramos by saying that she will try to serve as a guide to PARPO II Ramos, if needed, as he navigates his new environment. She also stated that she will welcome the new management’s directives regarding her duties and responsibilities wherever she may be reassigned.

Regional Director Atty. Merlita S. Capinpuyan also announced that with this refresh in the  leadership of Surigao del Norte, she is hopeful that we can now more comprehensively  address President Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr.’s goal of addressing the farmers’ needs, such as in  food security and income stability, in said province.

Along to witness this momentous occassion is Assistant Secretary of the Support Services Office (SSO), Ubaldo R. Sadiarin, Jr., is proud of the achievements of PARPO II Ramos, as his former chief-of-staff. He is also confident that SDN & PDI will soar higher in its agrarian reform implementation because PARPO II Ramos is a “problem solver.”

Other participants included in this turnover ceremony are key officials and employees from the Central, Regional and Provincial Offices.
