[SPLIT News Alert] DAR to validate 500 hectares of land and issue individual land titles in North Cotabato

The meeting between the DAR’s team and the beneficiaries and stakeholders of lands to be validated under the Project SPLIT.

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) is set to validate 500 hectares of land under the Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project in Carmen, North Cotabato to issue individual land titles to 218 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs).

Project SPLIT involves the parcelization of lands and issuance of individual land titles to ARBs who were previously awarded lands through collective certificates of landownership award (CCLOAs).

Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer Evangeline Bueno confirmed that the validation team from Project SPLIT would validate about 580.051 hectares of CCLOA covering properties in Malapag, Carmen.

The meeting between the DAR’s team and the beneficiaries and stakeholders of lands to be validated under the Project SPLIT.

“These ARBs are expected to benefit from the project, giving them an absolute ownership of the lands they are tilling after the Project SPLIT activities are completed and finally award them their individual land titles,” she said.

In a courtesy meeting recently held and spearheaded by Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer (MARPO) Cheryll Camariñas and MARPO Mary Joy Clarito, Project SPLIT was thoroughly discussed and explained among the beneficiaries and stakeholders, clearing some doubts and questions about the project.

As a result, all sectors and other stakeholders involved such as the Barangay Officials, Purok Leaders, potential ARBs, actual occupants, and tribal leaders of Barangay Malapag, conveyed their willingness and commitment to support the undertakings concerning the Project SPLIT.

Indigenous Person Mandatory Representative Damasco Ampalid expressed his support to the project and wished for the success of the Project SPLIT activities.

Nakatakdang mag-validate ang Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) ng 500 ektarya ng lupa sa ilalim ng Support to Parcelization of Lands for Individual Titling (SPLIT) Project sa Carmen, North Cotabato upang makapag-isyu ng indibidwal na titulo ng lupa sa 218 agrarian reform beneficiaries (ARBs).

Ang Project SPLIT ay ang paghahati-hati ng mga lupain at pag-iisyu ng mga indibidwal na titulo sa mga ARBs na dati nang ginawaran ng lupain sa ilalim ng collective certificates of landownership award (CCLOAs).

Kinumpirma ni Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer Evangeline Bueno na ang validation team mula sa Project SPLIT ay magva-validate ng may 580.051 ektarya ng CCLOA na sumasaklaw sa mga lupain sa Malapag, Carmen.

“Ang mga ARB ay inaasahang makikinabang sa proyektong ito, na magbibigay sa kanila ng pag-aari sa lupain at pagkatapos na makumpleto ang Project SPLIT kung saan maibibigay sa kanila ang kanilang indibdwal na titulo ng lupa,” aniya.

Sa isang pagpupulong na pinangunahan nina Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer (MARPO) Cheryll Camariñas at MARPO Mary Joy Clarito, tinutukan ang diskusyon sa Project SPLIT at ipinaliwanag ito sa mga benepisyaryo at stakeholders, at binigyang tugon ang kanilang mga pag-aalangan at katanungan sa proyekto.

Sa bandang huli, ang lahat ng sektor at iba pang stakeholders gaya ng Barangay Officials, Purok Leaders, potential ARBs, actual occupants, at mga tribal leaders ng Barangay Malapag ay nagbigay ng suporta at commitment sa mga gawain ng Project SPLIT.
