DAR OSC-EACO successfully holds Strategic Planning Seminar-Workshop
The Office of Special Concerns and External Affairs and Communications Operations (OSC-EACO), of the Department of Agrarian Reform, successfully held its Strategic Planning Seminar-Workshop last March 23 - 24 at the University Hotel in UP Diliman.
Dr. Eduardo H. Pangilinan, Deputy Secretary-General and the head of the Legislative Information Resources and Management Department of the House of Representatives lectured participants on the steps in the formulation of a strategic management plan and theoretical concepts of the strategic planning process.
The same was applied during the conduct of the two-day activity, through a series of exercises that Dr. Pangilinan asked the groups of participating offices to accomplish, in order to measure their grasp of the subjects discussed and emphasize how essential strategic planning in the formulation and achievement of set goals.
In her closing remarks, Undersecretary Atty. Marilyn B. Barua-Yap urged the participants to take advantage of the capacity-building activities that the department has been organizing for its employees, to update and upgrade their management skill sets.
She also reiterated the theme of the activity, “Crafting a Blueprint for Public Value Creation,” to become part and parcel of the participants' mindset when it comes to the performance of their respective duties and responsibilities, as it is part of Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III’s vision of bringing government to the people.
The participants were composed of the officials and personnel from the Public Assistance and Media Relations Service (PAMRS), the Legislative Liaison and External Affairs Service (LLEAS), the Clientele Relations Service (CRS) of OSC-EACO and select officials and personnel from the Foreign-Assisted Projects Office (FASPO) and Office of Mindanao Affairs (OMA).
