DAR OSC-EACO successfully holds Strategic Planning Seminar-Workshop

Participants during the conduct of the Strategic Planning Seminar-Workshop with Atty. Marilyn B. Barua-Yap, Undersecretary for OSC-EACO and Resource Speaker Dr. Eduardo H. Pangilinan. 

The Office of Special Concerns and External Affairs and Communications Operations (OSC-EACO), of the Department of Agrarian Reform, successfully held its Strategic Planning Seminar-Workshop last March 23 - 24 at the University Hotel in UP Diliman.

Dr. Eduardo H. Pangilinan, Deputy Secretary-General and the head of the Legislative Information Resources and Management Department of the House of Representatives lectured participants on the steps in the formulation of a strategic management plan and theoretical concepts of the strategic planning process.

The same was applied during the conduct of the two-day activity, through a series of exercises that Dr. Pangilinan asked the groups of participating offices to accomplish, in order to measure their grasp of the subjects discussed and emphasize how essential strategic planning in the formulation and achievement of set goals.

In her closing remarks, Undersecretary Atty. Marilyn B. Barua-Yap urged the participants to take advantage of the capacity-building activities that the department has been organizing for its employees, to update and upgrade their management skill sets.

She also reiterated the theme of the activity, “Crafting a Blueprint for Public Value Creation,” to become part and parcel of the participants' mindset when it comes to the performance of their respective duties and responsibilities, as it is part of Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III’s vision of bringing government to the people.

The participants were composed of the officials and personnel from the Public Assistance and Media Relations Service (PAMRS), the Legislative Liaison and External Affairs Service (LLEAS), the Clientele Relations Service (CRS) of OSC-EACO and select officials and personnel from the Foreign-Assisted Projects Office (FASPO) and Office of Mindanao Affairs (OMA).

Matagumpay na naisagawa ng Office of Special Concerns and External Affairs and Communications Operations (OSC-EACO), ng Department of Agrarian Reform, ang Strategic Planning Seminar-Workshop nitong Marso 23 - 24 sa University Hotel sa UP Diliman.

Si Dr. Eduardo H. Pangilinan, Deputy Secretary-General at ang pinuno ng Legislative Information Resources and Management Department ng House of Representatives, ay nagturo sa mga kalahok sa mga hakbang sa pagbabalangkas ng isang strategic management plan at theoretical concepts ng strategic planning process.

Ang parehong paksa ay inilapat sa panahon ng pagsasagawa ng dalawang araw na aktibidad, sa pamamagitan ng isang serye ng mga pagsasanay kung saan hiniling ni Dr. Pangilinan sa mga grupo ng mga kalahok na tanggapan na gawin, upang magkaroon ng sukatan ng kanilang pagkaunawa sa mga paksang tinalakay at bigyang-diin kung gaano kahalaga ang estratehikong pagpaplano sa pagbabalangkas at pagkamit ng mga itinakdang layunin.

Sa kanyang pangwakas na pananalita, hinimok ni Undersecretary Atty. Marilyn B. Barua-Yap, ang mga kalahok na samantalahin ang capacity-building activities na inorganisa ng departamento para sa mga empleyado nito, upang i-update at i-upgrade ang kanilang management skill set.

Inulit din niya ang tema ng aktibidad, “Crafting a Blueprint for Public Value Creation,” upang maging bahagi ng mindset ng mga kalahok pagdating sa pagganap ng kani-kanilang tungkulin at responsibilidad, dahil bahagi ito sa pananaw ni Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III na dalhin ang pamahalaan sa mga tao.

Ang mga kalahok ay binubuo ng mga opisyal at tauhan mula sa Public Assistance and Media Relations Service (PAMRS), Legislative Liaison and External Affairs Service (LLEAS), Clientele Relations Service (CRS) ng OSC-EACO at mga piling opisyal at tauhan mula sa Foreign-Assisted Projects Office (FASPO) at Office of Mindanao Affairs (OMA).
