EMPOWERING FARMERS: CELEBRATING SUCCESS AT DAR-ABRA FARM BUSINESS SCHOOL (FBS) GRADUATION CEREMONY

On May 17, 2023, the Department of Agrarian Reform - Abra (DAR-Abra) organized a momentous Graduation Ceremony for the Farm Business School (FBS) program. The ceremony celebrated the achievements of 30 participants from Barit Luba Agriculture Cooperative, located in Luba, Abra.

The primary objective of the program was to enhance the knowledge and skills of farmers enabling them to effectively manage their agricultural businesses and increase profitability. The FBS program has been instrumental in nurturing farmer-entrepreneurs who have achieved remarkable success in their respective fields.

The FBS training commenced on March 16, 2023, and the participants exhibited exceptional dedication and commitment, completing the comprehensive curriculum of 25 learning sessions with great satisfaction.

Barangay Captain Victor Pilar, one of the FBS graduates, expressed, "Since we embarked on this journey, we have acquired invaluable knowledge that will significantly contribute to the prosperity of our cooperative. Even though we have already graduated, we sincerely hope that your unwavering support will persist in assisting us as we strive to further expand our cooperative." Brgy. Captain Pilar also extended his gratitude to the dedicated facilitators whose efforts were instrumental in the resounding success of the FBS program.

FBS Point Person, Janeth Tagudar and Development Facilitator Marideth Gayed said that “Despite the inherent risks and formidable challenges, we have wholeheartedly devoted ourselves to the success of the Farm to Business School program, exemplifying unwavering dedication and determination.”

Municipal Agriculturist Reynaldo Manuel conveyed the message of Luba Mayor Rosalina C. Biscarra "WE feel honored and proud of you, FBS graduates. Thank you very much to the Department of Agrarian Reform (Abra), who is with us as our partner, along with LGU Luba, in implementing various programs for our farmers. Just let us know how we could be more of help in the next activities that you have for the  betterment of our farmers. WE, at the LGU Luba, are one with you in uplifting the lives of our farmers. We are very much grateful for these opportunities.” Luba LGUs support is manifested by Municipal Agriculturist Reynaldo Manuel's involvement and cooperation in the DAR FBS program which  greatly contributed to its success.

By doing so, you'll be able to achieve the government's vision of enhancing your lives, preserving your dignity, and securing a brighter future for your children.”
