DAR turns-over P34.6 Million Bacnor Bridge in Burgos

TUGUEGARO CITY – In order to lessen the travel time, cost and to have a swift transport of farm produce of the Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) and all farmers residing within the Agrarian Reform Community (ARC), the Department of Agrarian Reform Region 02 led by Cagayan Valley Regional Director Primo C. Lara officially turned-over to the Local Government Unit of Burgos the Bacnor Bridge under the Tulay ng Pangulo para sa Kaunlarang Pang-Agraryo (TPKP) project on November 30, 2023.

 

According to Cagayan Valley Regional Director Pimo C. Lara, this Bridge is a DAR Foreign Assisted project worth P34.6 Million which benefits 3,434 ARBs, other farmers and  residence. The construction of 28.8 linear meter Bacnor Bridge  started in 2020 and implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways, he added.

Municipal Mayor Isis Dominique T. Uy thanked the DAR through the leadership of Secretary Conrado M. Estrella III and Regional Director Primo C. Lara in providing support services to their locality. Rest assured that this project will last for generations to generations, she said.

 

 

 

The turn-over ceremony was witnessed and graced by, Vice-Mayor Ruben A. Gragasin, ARD Raul C. Laluan, PARPO II Jess Beth G. Quidasol, OIC-PARPO I Severino D. Gabot, CARPO Cristeto V. Acoba, Jr., MARPO Julieta A. Lora, SARPO George S. Samonte, ARPO II Andres Cafugauan and other DAR Regional, Provincial and Municipal personnel.

 

The bridge is made up of modular steel from France. It is located at Brgy. Bacnor West in Burgos and traversing the municipalities of Luna, Reina Mercedes and Aurora in Isabela.
